From the Heart: Valuing our Values, 02-19-12, Rev. Joan Van Becelaere

In the heat of current politics, politicians and pundits of all sides enjoy tossing around values language. From the language used, one might think that only certain specified religious or political groups have values and live them. Even though we aren't cited among the specified groups, we Unitarian Universalists have strong values rising from our religious commitments and lived out in our faith communities. What are our strongest values? What are the values of the East Shore congregation? How do these values inform our lives together in community? We will talk about how our values shape our faith community during the service. Then, in a time of discussion immediately after, we will work together to discover and articulate the strongest collective values of the East Shore congregation. Special music by ESUUC choir.
