Join us at the Kirtland Strawberry Festival!
Join East Shore UU Church as we support the local community festival on Thursday June 13 through Sunday June 15 (Father’s Day). East Shore will have a wide tent with a Reading Room: free books to all our guests and seating to take a break from the festival and read a book – with a bit of light music in the background.
If you would like to be a part of the festivities, we are booking people power: minimum of 2 people per 3-hour shift. See the sign-up sheets in the narthex for evening/weekend dates and times. If you can’t help out this year, please stop by and visit us at the tent.
We are also looking for – books (kids/adults/reference, any titles that you want to give away), 2 bookcases that will be able to stand on the grass, 3 large baskets to hold books, 1 additional 12’x12’ tent (and stakes or weights), 4 outdoor rugs to be placed on the grass, 3 wipeable beanbag chairs, 3 tall floor lamps, 1 box fan, 1 pedestal fan, large tote box with lid to store supplies, 2 outdoor extension cords, 1 power strip. Please write/staple/tape your name to your items so that they may be properly returned – with the exception of the books which you will never see again. We could also use some set-up help on Wednesday 6/12 in the afternoon, we will keep an eye on the weather.
We are unsure as to exactly what we will need as this is our first tent at the Strawberry Festival. Contact Sharon at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have additional questions. We are very excited to participate in the Strawberry Festival, and what a wonderful way to get our name out into the community than to be involved with rides/games/food/
