Our Sisters' Keepers

Start Date

Our Sisters' Keepers, our interfaith, inter-cultural women's group, will meet on Sunday, March 1, at 2:30 p.m. at The Temple-Tifereth Israel, 26000 E. Shaker Blvd., Beachwood OH 44122.

Rabbi Cohen will explain the history of Judaism through an introduction to TTTI. He'll take us on a tour of the synagogue, including an exhibit on historic wedding dresses and ketubahs (Jewish marriage contracts) that date back to the 19th century. He'll also discuss the relationship between Purim and Pesach (Passover). Rabbi Cohen will tell us about the Maltz Museum (within walking distance), which has wedding dresses from Egypt dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries.

Husbands/partners are welcome to attend. This continues our search for mutual respect and common ground among our women friends in the Muslim, UU, Jewish, Christian and other communities. Our Sisters' Keepers was started in 2017 by women from East Shore and the Muslim Association of Cleveland East; women of many other faiths and unaffiliated have since joined.

Please RSVP to Jerie Green, jgreen@lakenetwork.net, or Lynne Killgore, lynnekillgore@gmail.com.
