Sewing Day for Days for Girls and Sew 4 Service welcomes you! Regardless of your skill level or anything else, you are welcome to join us. If you are a sewist, bring your sewing machine, serger and your favorite accessories. We provide irons and ironing boards, cutting mats, rotary cutters, scissors (left and right handed), thread and the project materials needed for the two organizations. Please let Liz know if you are planning to come so we know how many materials to have available: elizabeth.madigan@gmail.com. We will have cutting and tracing for those who are not sewists. All are welcome!
Sew4Service uses donated materials to make various products for local organizations: placemats for Meals on Wheels, pillowcases for Akron Children’s Hospital, bags for people attending food banks to use and so on.
Days for Girls provides reusable, washable menstrual products for girls and women in low income and conflict zones.
