Membership Committee Meeting

The East Shore Membership Committee welcomes guests and coordinates activities to
help newcomers integrate into congregational life. The committee offers regular
New2UU classes which provides an overview of Unitarian Universalism, East Shore’s
history, congregational events, and small group ministries that support spiritual
exploration.

Throughout the year, the committee plans events that are not only fun but provide time
for deepening bonds and friendships (eg. Pancake Breakfast, Annual Chilly Chilli Cook-
Off, and the Annual BBQ Fest).

The committee manages the membership roster, coordinates new member recognition
ceremonies and works with church leadership on membership strategies and retention.

We also sponsor events that bring members of other churches along with the general
community to East Shore. All these activities demonstrate how important being
connected to each other is as well as to our broader community outside of East Shore.
The Membership Committee generally meets on the second Wednesday of each month
from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, usually via Zoom. For more information (or the Zoom link),
