Permaculture has been defined by one of its founders, Bill Mollison, as “the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems, which have the diversity, stability and resilience of natural ecosystems.” Sounds like a set of practices, even a mindset, that we could use in every part of our lives. After the service, there will be a pot luck lunch and Rev. Ruchotzke, who is our staff representative from the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Central East Region, will lead a conversation about how we design and maintain church systems that are diverse, stable and resilient. Your presence is needed. Please bring a dish to share so we can nourish one another for this important meeting.
