Come be a superhero this holiday season! Instead of the Mitten Tree, we are collecting new (unused) underwear for children and youth for distribution through the Hope Chest of Lake County.
The Hope Chest was established in 1967 as a mission and outreach program by two United Methodist Churches. The program distributed donated coats and shoes to students whose school absences during bad weather was as a result of inadequate clothing. Today its mission remains the same as it was in 1967, to provide clean clothing, shoes, and new socks and underwear to children in Lake County so they can attend school with dignity.
Please place your donation of new underwear for children and youth (all sizes needed) in the box located in the narthex.
