Covid policy (As of 10/17/23)

Extremely high/high risk of transmission to a non-vaccinated individual (Ohio level red):

ESUUC requires masking for everyone, except those 2 years of age and younger and those with a documented disability that makes them unable to wear a mask, except when actually speaking from the pulpit
The choir practices social distancing and wears N-95 masks to reduce the risk of transmission
The congregation does not participate in singing
Coffee hour is suspended totally
First Wednesday can meet in the parking lot, bringing their own food and social distancing for the meal
Chairs in the sanctuary are to be 6 feet apart, individuals can move chairs closer together if they are a “pod” that already spend time in close proximity.

Moderate/high risk of transmission to a non-vaccinated individual (Ohio level orange):

ESUUC requires masking for everyone, except those 2 years of age and younger and those with a documented disability that makes them unable to wear a mask, except when actively speaking from the pulpit
The choir practices social distancing and wears masks to reduce the risk of transmission
The masked congregation can participate in singing
Coffee hour can be held outside
First Wednesday night can be held outside.

Moderate risk of transmission to unvaccinated individuals (Ohio level yellow).

ESUUC requires masking for everyone, except those 2 years of age and younger and those with a documented disability that makes them unable to wear a mask, except when actively speaking from the pulpit or actively eating/drinking
The choir practices social distancing and wears masks to reduce the risk of transmission
The masked congregation can participate in singing
Coffee hour can be held inside with social distancing
First Wednesday night can be held inside the building with social distancing for those outside of family/social “pods”.

Low risk of transmission to a non-vaccinated individual (Ohio level green)
