In December 1997, an endowed fund was established to honor the lifetime commitment of Peter and Irma Fahr to helping those in need.
This year is the 25th Anniversary of this Fund.
The thrust of the fund shall be to provide help for the needy in the form of food, clothing and shelter.
In honor the 25th Anniversary, the Trustees (Pam Leininger, Dee Beacham and Sue Borstein) with Board of Trustees approval are planning to distribute $2500 from the Fund.
Events to honor the 25th Fahr Fund Anniversary include:
· The return of the Soup Luncheon on Sunday, November 6
· Grant applications will be available for submission from November 6 through December 5, 2022.
· Loose offering collection for the Fahr Fund during the month of December
· Announcement on Sunday, December 11 of recipients of the Fahr Fund grants for a total of $2500
Please sign up in the Narthex so the cooks know how much soup to make; however, walk-ins are welcome. Take-home containers will be avalible
Assistance is needed on November 5 to set up and cook soup and on November 6 for help both before and after the soup luncheon. If interested, talk with Pam Leininger or Dee Beecham.
